“Green Vision” in St. Petersburg

The Eighth International Environmental Film Festival "Green Vision" St. Petersburg is completed.
Film-makers from 32 countries sent their works to the competition. Films from 29 countries entered the programme.
During the Festival, environmental film-makers and environmental experts visited St. Petersburg to discuss different approaches to reflecting environmental issues by means of the cinema.
A jury with representatives from Eastern and Western Europe of different professional backgrounds  awarded prizes for the best films in the following nominations:

  • Grand Prix –The Son, Serbia & Montenegro, by Dragana Manojlovich & Vladimir Perovich
  • The Best Film for Children and Young People – Toads on the Roads, Byelorussia, by Igor Byshnev
  • The Most Original Interpretation of Environmental Problems - Instinct, Estonia, by Arno Nuut & Rao Heidmets
  • For the Courage in Making an Environmental Film – Wooden Dollars of Primorye, Russia, by  Evgeny Fershter
  • For the Beauty and Humanism - Mustang, Slovakia, by Pavol Barabas
  • Best Film about the Baltic Sea Region – Cancer Ward, Russia, by Igor Prokopenko
  • For Comprehensive and Profound Presentation of the Topic – Mystery of Yunnan Snub-nosed Monkey, China, by Xiangjiang Tan & Hongshi Li
  • For Artistic Merits – With Beak and Claw, Poland, by Krystian Matisek
  • For the Optimistic Vision of the Future - The Son, Serbia & Montenegro, by Dragana Manojlovich & Vladimir Perovich
  • Prize of the Youth Jury – The Isle, Austria, by Manfred Corinne
